Announcement of Ishimoto Yasuhiro’s exhibition in Paris / June 19 – December 22, 2024 at Le Bal

The art center “Le Bal” in Paris, France, shows an exhibition of works by the photographer Ishimoto Yasuhiro (1921-2012) from the collection of The Museum of Art, Kochi.
In addition to early works from his time at the “New Bauhaus” in Chicago, the exhibition focuses on Ishimoto’s most representative series “Katsura Imperial Villa,” “Tokyo”, “Chicago, Chicago” and “moment,” shown here mainly in the form of precious vintage prints. This is the first large-scale exhibition of Ishimoto Yasuhiro’s works in Europe.
